21 minute video that pretty much covers all the things you need to keep clean while hiking or backpacking, including women's needs. This is another great video by Dixie. Baking soda is a great deodorant and toothpaste. Also, baby powder should not be made with talc. She said "caveman" but I think she meant our Biblical patriarchs, right?

EMBARRASSING MISTAKES AS WARNINGS!
Dixie has many more educational videos. I really enjoy her real concern for hikers/backpackers and her desire to educate folks so they won't make mistakes that could be life threatening. There are many more of her videos on YT and several by other folks as well. If you find any you feel should be on this site, please leave me a message in the comments section. BUILD A TINY SURVIVAL KIT
Great idea for putting a large amount of survival items into a small, Altoids-type tin. Video is 7 minutes. Website blog: www.montemlife.com
HOW TO PACK YOUR PACK
This video was made for an REI backpack, but I found it to be simple and very helpful. She covers how to load the bottom, middle, top and sides distributing the weight for easier carry. Video is 6 minutes.
BACKPACKING CHECKLIST - GROUPS
Here is a 4.5 minute video showing the groups or stages of items to pack. Obviously what you pack will depend on the amount of time you will be hiking--you will need less gear for a day hike than a through hike. Simply simplified...
ORIGINAL KELLY KETTLE DEMO
Something to consider for camping, backpacking or emergency use.
COOKING YEAR ROUND WITH A SUN OVEN
Off Grid with Doug and Stacy has many more videos on this topic. Yes, I have a Sun Oven. I have even figured out a way to use it that's very close by. I waited for a "scratch and dent" sale, which saved me $80 on the basic oven. Might be something to look into for the very near future.
